Please allow me to include the following letter from our Research SIG: Dear IATEFL Associates, We write in our roles as IATEFL’s Research SIG outreach coordinators. The Research SIG brings together teachers, teacher-researchers, teacher educators and researchers from around the world to discuss and get involved in various forms of research into (or relating to) English language teaching (ELT). We would be very interested to hear from you, IATEFL’s associates, about: (1) whether а Research SIG exists in your association and (2) about any ELT research initiatives that you were involved in over the past years, or are in the pipeline, in the contexts you operate in. We are looking for brief descriptions (300-500 words) of any such initiatives, outlining the aims of the project, its timeline, who it was sponsored (if so) and run by, the number of teachers that got involved, the outcomes of the project, and any other information that you consider to be relevant. We are planning on including your contributions in one of our next issues of ELT Research, our SIG’s newsletter. This is a good opportunity for you to promote your research-related work and read about what the other associates are doing on the research front, so don’t miss out! If you think we can help in the process of setting up a Research SIG within your organisation, please let us know. We are looking forward to hearing from you by 30th June at the latest. Please write to: Elena Oncevska Ager: This email address is being protected from spambots.
